A 48-year-old man has been killed following a car collision in Enfield, north London, in the early hours of 20 September. The incident also left several other people injured, including a 31-year-old man who remains in a life-threatening condition. A 32-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, driving whilst under the influence of controlled drugs, and failing to stop at the scene.

The collision occurred shortly after 12.40am on Chase Side, with emergency services including the Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service, Fire Brigade and Air Ambulance responding to the scene. The 48-year-old victim was a passenger in the vehicle and died in hospital. The arrested woman has been released on bail pending further enquiries. Detectives are appealing for witnesses and have requested that members of the public provide any CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage that may have captured the incident, with those with information asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 259/20SEP.
