## Summary

A 17-year-old girl who went missing from Garden City, Utah, in May 2025 has been found safe in Oregon after a search lasting more than 500 days. A 39-year-old man was taken into custody without incident; the recovery matters as the FBI says it is investigating online groups that target and exploit children.

The search involved Oregon law enforcement, the FBI’s Salt Lake City field office and the Rich County sheriff’s office, with investigators following leads in the US and abroad. Authorities have not disclosed details of the disappearance or recovery because the investigation is ongoing. The girl’s family said she was last seen on 29 May 2025, and her mother later announced that she had been found safe.
