Manchester City have signed Everton and Senegal winger Iliman Ndiaye in a deadline-day deal worth up to £65m, as the club continues a lavish summer spending spree. The 26-year-old, who made his professional debut in England's seventh tier just over six years ago, has signed a five-year contract at the Etihad Stadium, calling the move "the chance of a lifetime". The transfer followed a collapsed deal that would have taken Ndiaye to Tottenham as part of a swap involving Richarlison, which fell through after Richarlison could not agree personal terms with his former club Everton.

The fee comprises £60m plus £5m in add-ons, and comes on the same day City agreed a joint-British record £125m fee for Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez, making Ndiaye the club's eighth summer signing after Elliot Anderson, Geronimo Rulli, Ayyoub Bouaddi, Allan Elias, Jeremy Monga and Pierce Charles. Ndiaye scored 21 goals in 74 appearances for Everton since arriving from Marseille in 2024 for £16m, and led the Premier League for completed dribbles last season, though analysts note his output in goal contributions and chances created was relatively modest compared with the size of the fee.
