Man found dead inside Melbourne home – as another man is arrested
A man has died and another has been arrested following an incident at a home in Croydon, in Melbourne's east, with Victoria Police's Homicide Squad now investigating the circumstances. Emergency services were called to the address in the early hours of Monday morning after reports of a dispute, and police believe the two men were known to each other.
Officers were called to a property on Penhyrn Avenue at about 2.10am, where they found a man's body inside the home; he has not yet been formally identified. A 57-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, where he remains under police guard. Detectives and forensic officers have cordoned off the street to examine the scene, and Crime Stoppers (1800 333 000) is appealing for information.
