Man Nicknamed “Bluntman” Arrested Ahead of Gathering of the Juggalos with 128 Pounds of Weed
A man nicknamed "Bluntman" was arrested in Missouri just before this year's Gathering of the Juggalos festival after police found 128 pounds of marijuana in his vehicle. Kevin Jones, 45, had reportedly been a vendor at the Insane Clown Posse-affiliated festival for over 20 years, running a stall selling smoking accessories, and the Mid Missouri Drug Task Force had received a tip that he planned to sell cannabis at the event.
Task force members stopped Jones's pickup truck for traffic violations on U.S. 54 in Osage Beach on Monday, 17 August. A search of the towed camper turned up the marijuana along with containers of psilocybin mushrooms, "Weed 4 Sale" signs, and laminated QR codes for digital payments. Jones is being held without bond in Camden County jail on felony charges of drug trafficking and delivering a controlled substance. The festival began on 19 August at a new venue, Mother Nature's Riverfront Retreat in Macks Creek, Missouri, its first year there after a decade in Thornville, Ohio.
