Jim Copenhaver, 76, has died from complications related to injuries sustained during the 2024 Donald Trump campaign rally shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania. He was one of three attendees shot when Thomas Crooks opened fire from a nearby rooftop; another attendee, Corey Comperatore, was killed, while Trump was grazed in the ear.

Copenhaver was wounded in the arm and abdomen, later suffering infections and undergoing surgeries; a bullet remained lodged near his spine, leaving him reliant on a cane.
