Manchester United are selling 7x7cm pieces of Old Trafford’s former pitch, preserved in glass cubes and presented in black cases, for £125 each. The first batch sold out, as the club begins replacing the playing surface for the first time in 14 years. The scheme offers supporters a commemorative keepsake while highlighting the stadium’s long history, dating back to 1910.

The announcement came as United reported that overall debt remains above £1bn. The club recorded record revenue of £677.6m and an operating profit of £22.6m for 2025-26, but made a pre-tax loss of £43m; it also spent £63.5m buying land for a proposed new stadium expected to cost more than £2bn.
