## Summary

A man from Stockport who admitted drugging, raping and sexually assaulting his wife over more than 20 years found men online who allegedly wanted to abuse an unconscious woman, a court has heard. Nine men are standing trial in Manchester, accused of taking part in the abuse at the couple’s home or encouraging it online.

Prosecutors say the husband began seeking men in 2015 and discussed using drugs and alcohol to make his wife unconscious. The defendants include men accused of supplying tablets, sexually assaulting her while she was unconscious, or receiving images and encouraging the abuse; one is described as a non-contact offender. The husband cannot be named to protect his wife’s identity, and the allegations against the nine defendants are being heard at trial.
