Netflix is developing Arrivals: A New Manifest Mystery, a new series set in the Manifest universe, five years after the original programme ended. Its return matters because Manifest was initially cancelled by NBC after three series before finding a much larger audience on Netflix, which then commissioned a final fourth season.

The new story follows survivors of a Denver plane crash who have no memory of their former lives, with a social worker and Homeland Security agent investigating a mystery said to threaten humanity. Original creator Jeff Rake will co-create and co-showrun with Manifest veterans Margaret Easley and Laura Putney; no cast or release date has been announced.
