Marc Maron Starrer ‘In Memoriam’ to Kick Off 11th Annual Indie Street Film Festival; Full Lineup Revealed (Exclusive)

The Hollywood Reporter · 3 hours ago

The Indie Street Film Festival has announced its full 2026 lineup, with the Marc Maron-starring drama In Memoriam set to open the 11th annual event in Red Bank, New Jersey. The Rob Burnett-directed film will screen alongside a Q&A with the writer-director, a New Jersey native, while the festival closes with Union County, starring Will Poulter and Noah Centineo and directed by Adam Meeks. The reveal underscores the festival's continued focus on independent voices and its track record of championing films that go on to wider acclaim.

Running from 17 to 23 August, the week-long festival will also feature New Jersey premieres of in-competition narrative titles including Charlotte Glynn's The Gymnast, Danny Madden's Downbeat and Walter Thompson-Hernández's If I Go Will They Miss Me, alongside documentaries such as Seth Porges' Santacon and Shalon Buskirk and Drew Swedberg's in love, in memory. Festival organisers, including artistic director Allyson Morgan and founder Jay Webb, highlighted the event's history of spotlighting films that later achieve major recognition, citing last year's Oscar-winning Mr. Nobody Against Putin. This year's jury includes figures from Tribeca Festival, POV, Firelight Media and Two River Pictures.
