Former NFL Pro Bowl defensive end Marcellus Wiley, 51, was arrested for domestic battery on 4 July after his wife, Annemarie, called police to report an assault at a Marriott hotel in Orlando, Florida. According to an arrest affidavit obtained by the New York Post, Annemarie alleges that Wiley threatened to kill her and became physical in front of their seven-year-old daughter, making the case a serious criminal matter involving a well-known sports broadcaster and former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" cast member.

The family was reportedly at the hotel for a basketball tournament, and several children were in the room when officers arrived. Annemarie claims Wiley stood over her and poked her sternly in the cheek, alleged a history of prior unreported violence, and said she intended to divorce him. Wiley denies all the allegations, stating there was no physical altercation and providing police with text messages they described as cordial; he also posted on social media insisting the truth would prevail. He was arrested by the Orange County Sheriff's Office and held without bond. The arrest follows an April 2026 Rolling Stone article citing sexual assault accusations against him from four women.
