Margo Price, Robert Plant, Brandi Carlile and other artists will perform or present at the 25th annual Americana Honors & Awards, taking place on 16 September at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium as part of AmericanaFest. The ceremony carries particular significance this year, as it will feature tributes to two lifetime achievement recipients: Plant, returning to the venue 15 years after his award-winning Band of Joy album, and the late Dolly Parton, who will be honoured with a special performance celebrating her contribution to roots music.

The show, again hosted by The Milk Carton Kids with Buddy Miller as musical director, will also feature performances from I'm With Her, Kashus Culpepper, Molly Tuttle, Jesse Welles, Kathleen Edwards and others. Artist of the year nominees include Carlile, Charley Crockett, Margo Price, Tuttle and Welles, with Carlile a two-time previous winner. The event will livestream via NPR's YouTube channel and the Americana Music Association's Facebook page from 6:30pm CT, with a broadcast version airing later on Austin City Limits on 21 November.
