Margot Robbie-Narrated ‘Galapagos: The Last Eden’ Trailer Unveiled Ahead of Venice Immersive Bow (EXCLUSIVE)

Variety · 4 hours ago

A trailer has been unveiled for "Galapagos: The Last Eden", an immersive experience narrated by Margot Robbie, ahead of its premiere in the Venice Film Festival's Immersive strand. Directed by Anthony Geffen and produced by UK-based Atlantic Studios, the project uses new 3-D camera technology to let audiences interact with the volcanic origins and wildlife of the Galápagos Islands, while also highlighting conservation efforts threatened by El Niño.

The experience allows users to personalise their journey, including holding a simulated conversation with Charles Darwin drawn from his own accounts of the archipelago. Robbie, who first visited the islands at 18, said she was drawn to the project's storytelling potential and its focus on conservation amid the threat of climate change. The work will screen alongside other XR and immersive projects in Venice Immersive, which runs alongside the festival's main cinema programme.
