## Summary

Mariah Carey has hinted that she may release her unreleased grunge album, saying she is asked about it roughly once a week and replying “not yet” with a note that it was a hint. The project has drawn fan interest for years because it contains a hidden side of her work from the period when she was making one of her biggest pop albums.

Carey recorded Someone’s Ugly Daughter with her band while working on 1995’s Daydream, which spent six weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. A version was released under the name Chick, with Clarissa Dane on lead vocals; fans are seeking Carey’s original vocal version. Her Reddit chat marked the 25th anniversary of Glitter, whose deluxe edition with bonus tracks was released that day, and she said she could not say when her next album would arrive.
