## Summary

New details identify John Fraley, a Marine veteran working as a Citibank security officer, as the man who confronted the gunman at the Florida campus. Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said Fraley took a tactical position and shot the attacker, ending the threat before more people were harmed.

Authorities said Jacob Pearson, 35, drove to the Brandon campus after threatening a collections law firm over a court summons for a delinquent $2,500 credit card debt. He allegedly shot employee LeAnne Selmon, 41, first with a rifle and then with a handgun as she tried to crawl away. Pearson went into a cafeteria seeking more victims; Fraley shot him five times, and Pearson later died in hospital. Citibank security had alerted police and requested deputies after the threats.
