Marvel has announced that Eddie Brock will reunite with the Venom symbiote in a new ongoing comic series, ending a lengthy separation between the character and his original host. Revealed at San Diego Comic-Con, the move restores a familiar version of Venom and follows the conclusion of Marvel’s Queen in Black crossover.

Venom #1, written by Charles Soule with art by Tommaso Bianchi, is due in October 2026 and depicts Eddie seeking to prove himself as the symbiote’s ideal host and a hero. The symbiote had previously passed to Eddie’s son Dylan and then Mary Jane Watson, who will lead the five-issue Friendly Neighborhood Mary Jane series from November; Marvel also announced four Infernal Hulk crossover specials ahead of its Hulk War event.
