The issue sees Peter Parker attacked on two fronts, by Mr Negative and by Frank Castle himself, after Mr Negative manipulates the Punisher into becoming an outright enemy of Spider-Man rather than his usual anti-heroic self. This marks a striking contrast with Frank Castle's typical role as a morally grey but broadly heroic vigilante, and comes just as Jon Bernthal's Punisher is set to team up with Tom Holland's Spider-Man in the *Spider-Man: Brand New Day* film this Friday.

The comic storyline follows Spider-Man's pursuit of the Lexicon, a document detailing New York's criminal underworld that both villains and the Punisher want for their own ends. The preview opens with a recap of Frank Castle's backstory before showing him opening fire on a building from a "Punisher-copter" as Robbie Robertson pitches a story to Daily Bugle owner Dexter Bennett nearby. Spider-Man survives the attack by reinforcing the building's interior with webbing, but Frank refuses to negotiate over the Lexicon, escalating the confrontation.
