## Key points

- Spider-Man 2 update adds two new costumes tied to other Spider-Man releases
- Update also brings Enhanced PSSR upscaling and a power saver mode
- Timed to coincide with Brand New Day film and Marvel Tokon game launches

## Summary

Insomniac Games has released an update for Marvel's Spider-Man 2 adding two new player costumes tied to other Spider-Man media releases. The Fresh Start suit is inspired by the forthcoming film Spider-Man: Brand New Day, while the second suit replicates the character's look from Arc System Works' Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, a tag-team fighting game.

Beyond the cosmetic additions, the update brings Enhanced PSSR support to improve image upscaling quality and visual stability, along with a new power saver mode to cut electricity use during play. The timing lines up with Brand New Day's cinema release and Marvel Tokon's early August launch, giving players fresh reasons to revisit a game that sold 2.5 million copies within 24 hours of its 2023 debut and quickly passed 5 million overall.
