Massive piece of 9/11 history makes stunning 10,500-mile journey across America

Fox News · 2 hours ago

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is carrying a steel beam recovered from the World Trade Center's South Tower on the final leg of a 10,500-mile journey across the United States, taking a physical piece of Ground Zero to communities nationwide as the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks approaches. The tour aims to preserve the memory of the attacks for younger generations who did not live through the event and to honour those who died, including first responders.

The foundation, chaired by Frank Siller, was established in tribute to his brother Stephen, a New York City firefighter who died running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to reach the Twin Towers on 11 September 2001. Beyond the memorial tour, the organisation is known for supporting injured veterans and the families of fallen first responders, and Siller has also released a memoir, "Let Us Do Good", detailing his brother's story and the charity's mission.
