## Key points

- Rempe is focused on winning a regular place with the Rangers.
- Edmonton has been linked to him in a trade rumour.
- He has played three games this season.

## Summary

Matt Rempe says he is concentrating on earning playing time with the New York Rangers despite an emerging trade rumour linking him to Edmonton. The 6-foot-9 forward has had limited chances this season, and the speculation has made his future with the Rangers less certain.

A report said Oilers head coach Mike Babcock is believed to admire Rempe as a possible addition for a team seeking size. Rempe played his third game of the season against St Louis on Tuesday after appearing in the opener and on 13 October, then sitting out three weeks. He says he is avoiding social media and focusing on improving and making the most of opportunities.
