MATT SORUM Is Open To Reforming VELVET REVOLVER With LZZY HALE On Lead Vocals: ‘I’d Do It’, He Says
Matt Sorum says he would be willing to reform Velvet Revolver with Halestorm singer Lzzy Hale on lead vocals. His comments follow Hale’s praised performance on “Shooting Star” in the Sound & Vision Live concert film, though he said he did not know whether Slash and Duff McKagan would be interested.
Velvet Revolver, formed in 2002 by Sorum, McKagan and Slash alongside guitarist Dave Kushner, released two albums with Scott Weiland before dismissing him in 2008. The band has otherwise been inactive since a brief 2012 reunion, while Weiland died in 2015; the proposed Corey Taylor collaboration also never materialised.
