## Summary

Max McNown says country singer Carly Pearce has taught him to be confident, stand by his worth and resist changing himself to please others. The pair’s new duet, “Not Falling Out”, received its first live performance when Pearce surprised McNown’s Nashville audience.

McNown wrote the song with Jamie Kenney, Hillary Lindsey and Scott Harris, then invited Pearce to add the higher-register vocal he felt it needed. He said her voice made the track feel complete and praised her honesty and directness. Before their first live performance together, he practised by singing along to the recording during his drives; the crowd responded enthusiastically when Pearce appeared on stage.
