McDonald's has brought back Spicy Chicken McNuggets and its Mighty Hot Sauce at participating US restaurants for a limited period, reviving a favourite that first launched nationally in 2020. The move has generated significant buzz on social media, with fans calling for the spicy nuggets to become a permanent fixture and comparing them to rival Wendy's own spicy nugget offering.

Alongside the national relaunch, McDonald's is also rolling out a Texas-exclusive meal deal featuring a 10-piece McNugget order (spicy or regular), medium fries and a drink, plus a choice of seven collectible cups adorned with Texas-themed artwork by muralist Avery Orendorf. The Spicy Chicken McNuggets returned on 1 September, while the Mighty Hot Sauce had not been available since 2021. Social media posts about both offerings drew thousands of likes and comments, including calls from fans for similar state-specific deals to be extended elsewhere, such as Florida.
