MCU Icon Officially Takes on Lord Voldemort in New Harry Potter Offshoot
The Wizarding World's audiobook expansions continue with the casting of Daniel Brühl—known for playing morally complex antagonists in Marvel films—as the voice of the dark wizard for a German interpretation of J.K. Rowling's fantasy saga. The project launches this autumn with the first novel, followed by monthly releases of the remaining six books.
This adaptation operates independently from the English Audible versions that concluded earlier this year, mobilising a cast of over 150 performers alongside professional-grade audio production including Dolby Atmos spatial sound, an original musical score, and bespoke sound design. The recording process has already accumulated more than 2,000 hours of material across the comprehensive series.
- Daniel Brühl, an MCU villain actor, has been cast as Voldemort for a German-language full-cast audiobook adaptation of the Harry Potter series
- The production debuts November 2026 with subsequent books releasing monthly, featuring 150+ voice actors and premium audio production
- This is a separate initiative from the recently completed English-language Audible editions
