South Korean indie-pop artist Kim Jimin, who records as Meaningful Stone, has released a new single called "1+1=0", a collaboration with the acclaimed American musician and producer Melina Duterte, known as Jay Som. The track was made after Kim travelled to Los Angeles earlier in the year to work with Duterte, and it marks a notable cross-continental pairing of two respected indie figures.

The song is described as a shimmering, jangly piece of dream pop, with Kim's breathy vocals floating over layered guitars and bright, melodic hooks touching on themes of change and letting go. Reviewer Chris DeVille, writing for Stereogum, likens its sound to Hatchie at her most dreamy or Soccer Mommy given a celestial shoegaze makeover.
