## Key points

- Serrajordi is becoming a key young midfielder for Barcelona.
- She started their 4-0 Champions League final win.
- She is seen as a natural successor to Putellas.

## Summary

Clara Serrajordi has emerged as a major young talent in Barcelona’s midfield, stepping into a prominent role after Alexia Putellas left for London City Lionesses last summer. At 18, she has already made her first-team debut, started a Champions League final and won several major trophies, making her a candidate to help fill the gap left by a club legend.

Scouted from local side CE Llerona at 11, Serrajordi says reaching Barcelona’s first team once felt unlikely, even at a club known for giving academy players opportunities. She started 19 of the 26 league matches she played in during 2025-26, recording a goal and three assists, and started Barcelona’s 4-0 Champions League final win over OL Lyonnes in May. After an arm fracture kept her out for a month this season, she has returned to action and has played 311 minutes.
