## Summary

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is said to want a thorough investigation after her estranged father, Thomas Markle Sr, was charged with possessing child abuse images. A friend told a newspaper that Meghan hopes the investigation will deliver justice for victims; the allegations have not been proven, and Markle denies wrongdoing.

The 82-year-old was arrested in Florida after the FBI reportedly found suspected child abuse material in two Los Angeles storage units he had rented for years. He was charged with one count of possession, did not enter a plea at his initial court hearing, and was released on bond under house arrest. The article says the investigation followed a report to police in the Philippines by his son, Thomas Markle Jr, who also alerted the FBI.
