Prime Video has ordered New Money, a half-hour workplace comedy created, written by and starring Mekki Leeper. Set in the morally dubious world of private equity, it follows a trust-fund heir and his inept staff as they make reckless investments while trying to appear successful. The series matters as a new collaboration between two established comedy talents, Leeper and Joe Mande.

Mande will serve as executive producer and co-showrunner with Leeper, while Jackie Cohn, Nick Frenkel and Olivia Doud also executive produce. The show is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and developed from Leeper’s self-financed pilot, Fintech, which was directed by Leeper and previously taken to buyers. Leeper is known for Jury Duty and St. Denis Medical, while Mande’s credits include Hacks, The Good Place, Parks and Recreation and Netflix’s Running Point.
