A Metropolitan Police officer has been sacked after using social media and a podcast to criticise senior colleagues, including calling one a "wasteman", and to make allegations of corruption and racism within the force. PC Idominik Efeotor, who served with the Met's Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command, was dismissed without notice following an accelerated misconduct hearing, having repeatedly ignored warnings to stop posting such content. The case highlights the force's efforts to enforce social media conduct standards among officers and to protect public confidence in policing.

Efeotor published podcast episodes and social media posts between 2024 and 2026 while identifying himself as a serving officer, initially with permission that was later withdrawn. His TikTok videos included offensive and derogatory language, claims of "discrimination across the board" within the Met's Directorate of Professional Standards, and material that risked identifying an officer covered by an anonymity order. A misconduct panel found he had breached professional standards around discreditable conduct, respect and confidentiality, leading to his dismissal and a ban from policing; Commander Adam Slonecki said the behaviour had undermined public confidence and harmed colleagues.
