Meta has announced a new Hearing Enhancement feature for its smart glasses, designed specifically for users with mild to moderate hearing loss. The FDA-cleared software will roll out to supported Meta Glasses (excluding Ray-Ban models initially) later this year, expanding Meta's accessibility offerings alongside other recent improvements to its glasses' features.

The hearing enhancement can be accessed through a Meta One subscription or purchased outright for $149, with users able to try it free for 30 days before committing. The feature requires no prescription and can be set up at home, with voice commands allowing users to activate or deactivate it on demand. Notably, the software is eligible for HSA/FSA reimbursement through insurance carriers, and Meta already offers a complementary Conversation Focus mode for improving clarity in noisy environments.
