Twelve-year-old Mia Tindall competed in the team show jumping competition at the Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials in Oxfordshire on Sunday, following in her mother Zara's equestrian footsteps. Zara herself competed at the same prestigious event over the same weekend on her horse Classicals Euro Star, watching proudly from the sidelines as Mia cleared the jumps on her pony Bunny Two Twirls. The performance continues a strong family tradition of horsemanship spanning generations.

Mia competed as part of Minchinhampton Pony Club and bore a striking resemblance to her mother at the same age, recalling Zara's appearance when she competed at Ascot aged eleven in 1992. Zara is an accomplished equestrian in her own right, having won Olympic silver in 2012 and been voted BBC Sports Personality of the Year. The family's equestrian heritage runs deep: Mia's grandparents, Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips, both competed at the Olympics in equestrian events, and even Queen Elizabeth II rode as a child.
