## Key points

- LaFleur says Parsons could return to practice next week.
- The pass rusher is recovering from an ACL tear.
- Green Bay is 4-3 and last in its division.

## Summary

Micah Parsons could move closer to returning to the Green Bay Packers, with head coach Matt LaFleur saying there is a chance the pass rusher will resume practice next week. His absence has weakened Green Bay’s defence, and his return could help the team’s push for a playoff place.

Parsons tore his ACL last December and began this season on the reserve/physically unable to perform list. In 14 games last season, he recorded 12.5 sacks and 41 tackles, and was named to the Pro Bowl and All-Pro first team. Green Bay is 4-3 and last in the NFC North; Parsons will miss Thursday night’s game against Carolina.
