Michael Fassbender’s Production Company DMC Expands in Ireland Following Investment From Fine Point Films

Variety · 1 month ago

Michael Fassbender's production company DMC is expanding its Irish operations after receiving investment from Trevor Birney's Fine Point Films into its Dublin arm, DMC Entertainment. Announced at the Galway Film Fleadh, the deal deepens ties between two companies that both worked on the Irish breakout hit "Kneecap", and reflects growing momentum and confidence in Ireland's film and television sector, north and south.

DMC — founded by Fassbender alongside Conor McCaughan and Daniel Emmerson — has recent credits including "LifeHack", Netflix's "The Kitchen", "Scrapper" and "Calm With Horses". As part of the deal, Tamryn Reinecke of Robin Fox Productions joins as a Dublin-based executive producer to support the Irish development slate and manage international partnerships. The companies say the investment will expand capacity, accelerate upcoming projects and boost their reach across Irish and global markets, with both parties pointing to the increasing frequency of "shared island" productions.
