Michael Strahan, Podcaster? ‘GMA’ Star to Co-Host Show Under His Own Banner
Michael Strahan, the American football Hall of Famer and *Good Morning America* presenter, is entering podcasting by co-hosting a new show with Constance Schwartz-Morini, his co-founder at the management and media firm SMAC. The show will feature candid interviews with executives, celebrities and lesser-known figures about leadership, entrepreneurship and reinvention. It forms part of a broader move by SMAC to launch its own podcast network, called The Intersection, in partnership with Sinclair's AMP Media.
Alongside Strahan's programme, The Intersection will launch a show pairing NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Owens with comedian and producer Chris Spencer to discuss sport, pop culture and topical headlines. SMAC will produce the shows while AMP Media handles distribution, advertising sales and audience development, adding them to an existing AMP roster that includes shows fronted by figures such as Urban Meyer, Landon Donovan, Candace Parker and Vince Carter. Executives from both SMAC and Sinclair framed the tie-up as a natural extension of SMAC's work in scripted and unscripted content, having also struck a deal with Boardroom last year.
