Daily Mail · 1 month ago

A 37-year-old woman from Moorhead, Minnesota, has been detained on child sex abuse charges after allegedly emailing prosecutors a video of herself sexually assaulting two young girls, according to authorities. Kimberly Faith Christy faces two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and two counts of using a minor in a sexual performance, in a case notable for the fact that the accused is said to have effectively reported herself.

Prosecutors say Christy contacted the Clay County Attorney's Office on 28 June with a message stating she wanted to turn herself in, attaching a QR code linking to a Google Photos account. Investigators reportedly found four videos and two photographs depicting the abuse of two girls. Two videos dated March 2018 are said to show a child aged between six months and two years, while two others dated November 2013 depict a nude infant girl; the accompanying photographs are said to include an image of a child under three.
