Miss USA, Miss Teen USA Pageants Pulled From The CW Just a Week Before Air

Variety · 2 hours ago

Miss USA and Miss Teen USA have been abruptly pulled from The CW just a week before they were due to broadcast, with neither the network nor the pageant organisation giving a clear reason. The CW said only that it had decided to "forego" next week's broadcasts after "careful consideration and conversations" with the Miss USA Organization, while the pageant cited an unresolved "contractual issue with our production arrangements" identified two weeks earlier. The pageants will instead stream on the Queen Beauty Network, as they did in 2025.

The CW had signed a three-year deal in 2024 to air the pageants, having previously broadcast them in 2023 and 2024, with Miss Teen USA and Miss USA scheduled for 26 and 27 August respectively this year. That original deal was struck with former Miss USA Organization CEO Laylah Rose, but the franchise was later renegotiated under a new ten-year licence with Brodeur Beauty founder Thom Brodeur. The pageants have faced repeated controversy in recent years, including the 2023 resignations of Miss USA Noelia Voigt and Miss Teen USA UmaSofia Srivastava amid toxic workplace claims, and the more recent removal of Miss North Carolina USA Brittany Boltinhouse from her title.
