A 13-year-old girl named Lillia, who had been missing from Bolton, Greater Manchester, since 11 September 2026, has been found "safe and well" in Manchester city centre. Greater Manchester Police confirmed the news eight days after she was last seen, ending an intense search that included a tearful public appeal from her mother and widespread appeals for information. The discovery brings relief to her family, who had described her as coming from a loving home and had no explanation for her disappearance.

Police said Lillia is currently with officers and that her next-of-kin have been informed, with further details to follow in due course. During the search, CCTV footage traced her movements, including sightings at the Trafford Centre on 12 September, Manchester Piccadilly bus station on 14 September, and a McDonald's on Market Street. Her aunt had said Lillia had no phone, little money and only a rucksack with her, and a large appeal poster featuring her photograph had been displayed in Piccadilly Gardens.
