‘MobLand’ Season 2 Teaser Trailer Sees Chaos Surround The Warring Harrigans; Global Launch Date Set
Paramount+ has announced that the second season of its crime drama "MobLand" will launch globally on Friday 18 September, releasing a teaser trailer alongside the news. The Tom Hardy-starring series was the streamer's second-biggest original launch behind "Landman", so the new season and its confirmed date mark a significant moment for the platform.
The trailer depicts the Harrigan crime family going on the offensive, with Pierce Brosnan's Conrad and Helen Mirren's Maeve firing at rivals as The Prodigy's "Firestarter" plays. Season two finds the north London family on the brink of internal civil war as rival gangs emerge, with Hardy's fixer Harry De Souza attempting to hold them together. The season arrives after a difficult production: Hardy reportedly clashed with showrunner Jez Butterworth and appeared to leave, but the pair resolved their differences — helped by executive producer Guy Ritchie — paving the way for a possible third season. The large cast also includes Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt and Toby Jones.
