The identity of the woman whose leaked TikTok messages triggered the breakdown of AFL star Kysaiah Pickett's five-year relationship has been revealed, with the Daily Mail naming her as Shayleah Wanganeen, a 23-year-old model and aspiring lawyer who dated Pickett during his teenage years. The scandal became public last weekend when Pickett's former partner, Ardu Cubillo, shared explicit DMs sent to her by another woman, prompting Cubillo to end the relationship and move interstate with the couple's child, believing their partnership had been built on deception.

According to messages posted by Cubillo, Wanganeen told her that Pickett had repeatedly professed his love and expressed a wish to reunite once he "sorted out" his existing relationship, and that both women had "been fed lies for years". The pair reportedly stayed on nearby islands at the same time earlier this year while Pickett claimed to be on a "boys' trip", and he allegedly sent flowers to both women on Valentine's Day. Wanganeen's manager has stated "there's no story here", while all three individuals involved come from prominent Indigenous families with strong ties to Australian sport and public life.
