Fox has greenlit "Mammoth," a new live-action comedy series from "Modern Family" co-creator Christopher Lloyd and writer-producer Danny Zuker, adapted from Mike Bubbins' British sitcom of the same name. The project marks Fox's first live-action comedy series order in more than two years, signalling renewed investment in the genre for the network.

The show centres on Coach Tony Mammoth, a boisterous high school gym teacher buried in a 1983 avalanche who thaws out 40 years later, still stuck in an 80s mindset, to find the world has moved on without him. It is set to premiere during the 2027-2028 season, produced by Fox Entertainment Studios with Lloyd and Zuker as writers, showrunners and executive producers, alongside BBC Studios Los Angeles' Mark Linsey and Angie Stephenson and original creator Bubbins.
