Bluegrass musicians Molly Tuttle and Ketch Secor, of Old Crow Medicine Show, gave their first public performance as newlyweds at the Grand Ole Opry's tribute show for Dolly Parton, who died on 25 August aged 80 after a brief illness with cancer. The pair paid tribute to Parton and her long-time singing partner Porter Wagoner by performing "Just Someone I Used to Know", a duet the two country legends released in 1969, drawing loud applause from the Nashville audience.

Before the tribute, Tuttle performed her own song "Rosalie" solo, then was joined by Secor for "San Joaquin", a track they co-wrote together. Other performers at the show included Parton's niece Jada Star, who sang "The Orchard"; newcomer Belle Frantz, who earned a standing ovation on her Opry debut with "Where No One Stands Alone"; Kathy Mattea, who covered "Jolene"; and Carly Pearce, who performed "9 To 5" alongside surprise guest Jelly Roll. The evening closed with a video of Parton herself singing "I Will Always Love You", and the full concert is now available to stream.
