A mother of three has gone viral on TikTok after warning other parents that a popular singing Jack-o'-lantern Halloween decoration, "Jabberin' Jack", contains a song with sexually suggestive lyrics buried among its children-friendly content. The toy, sold widely by major American retailers, is marketed as festive decor for trick-or-treaters, prompting concern that families could unknowingly expose young children to inappropriate material.

Jabberin' Jack is a 12-inch plastic pumpkin made by Mindscope, fitted with a projector and speaker that animate its face and play roughly 80 minutes of songs and stories. The problematic track is the third in its rotation and cannot be skipped to directly, meaning it is easily missed unless a child lets the full cycle play out; its lyrics reference "kisses", being "wicked" together until morning, and other innuendo-laden lines about darkness and "roasted pumpkin seeds". Some product reviewers had already flagged the content as unsuitable for children, and Mindscope's own website describes the item as "a seasonal decorative item" rather than a toy, despite it being designed to greet trick-or-treaters. The Daily Mail said it had contacted Mindscope for comment.
