A video has emerged showing three men dumping sofas, armchairs and piles of rubbish on a rural road near Maesycwmmer in south Wales, before allegedly chasing a bystander who filmed them and threatened to report their number plate to police. The footage highlights the persistent problem of fly-tipping at this popular beauty spot, which is frequented by dog walkers and horse riders, and raises safety concerns for both residents and animals due to debris such as broken glass being left behind.

A local farmer said the same group has fly-tipped at the site three times in the past month alone, with more than 40 incidents reported there last year, and claimed to hold around 200 crime reference numbers from Gwent Police relating to the location. The men left behind unopened letters bearing their names and addresses, while the vehicle used was reportedly untaxed, uninsured and unregistered for road use. The witness, a man in his 20s, was left shaken after being chased but escaped to a nearby farm; the video, posted to Facebook, has since attracted almost 1,000 likes and close to 100,000 views.
