Leony Wilks, 26, posed as a solicitor from a Luton-based law firm to smuggle MDMA and cannabis into HMP Feltham for inmate Quentin Oyet-Ayella, 28, during two fake legal visits in March 2025. CCTV captured her laughing as she passed him drugs on both occasions, prompting suspicion from prison officers after cannabis was smelt in the visiting room; the case highlights ongoing concerns about smuggling and security failures within UK prisons.

Officers found Oyet-Ayella carrying MDMA tablets, wrapped cannabis and tobacco after a body scan, along with an illicit phone hidden in his cell ceiling that had been used to contact Wilks, while a search of her home uncovered further cannabis. Wilks, who had no prior convictions and carried forged paperwork for the visits, was sentenced at Isleworth Crown Court to 34 months for conveying MDMA into a prison but was released on time served after 511 days on remand; Oyet-Ayella received a nine-month sentence, also covered by time served.
