## Key points

- Belechguer was jailed for four years.
- Footage showed riding at up to 189mph.
- His motorcycle was confiscated and he faces a 10-year driving ban.

## Summary

Amin Belechguer, 29, has been jailed for four years after pleading guilty to 21 dangerous driving offences, including provoking a police chase on a high-powered motorcycle. The case matters because footage showed repeated high-speed riding and dangerous manoeuvres on public roads, putting other road users at risk.

Police stopped the chase when it became too dangerous, then used a stinger to deflate the motorcycle’s tyres. Investigators found videos recorded across Kent, London and Essex from July 2024, including speeds of up to 189mph; the bike, bought for about £19,500, was confiscated, and Belechguer will be banned from driving for 10 years after release.
