- Four men pinned him down and recovered the phones.
- London shoplifting figures point to a rise in repeat offending.

## Summary

Footage shows a hooded man apparently taking display devices and other products from an Apple shop at Battersea Power Station before security staff and employees tackle him near the exit. The incident highlights concern about repeat shoplifting in London and the police response to retail crime.

The footage was reportedly filmed on Thursday; four men pinned the suspect down and recovered the phones. Metropolitan Police figures cited in the article show shoplifting offences rose by about 37 per cent between February and July this year, while more than 100,000 offences were recorded in London in the year to October 2025. The Met says it is working with retailers to identify and prosecute prolific offenders.
