## Summary

Chilean-Mexican singer-songwriter Mon Laferte was struck in the face by a phone thrown from the audience during her Las Vegas concert on Thursday, 5 November. The incident highlights a growing safety concern for performers as phones are increasingly being thrown on stage.

Fan videos show the phone hitting the left side of Laferte’s face near her eye. The person who threw it was removed from the venue, and Laferte continued after her team attended to her; her US tour was due to finish in Los Angeles.
