‘Monarch of the Glen’ Reboot Officially Unveils First Look at New Series After 21 Years
PBS Masterpiece has released the first images and confirmed the main cast for a reboot of *Monarch of the Glen*, more than 21 years after the original British family drama ended. Due to premiere in 2027, the series will follow a new generation at the Scottish Highland estate of Glenbogle, retaining the original’s setting and themes of family, romance and rural life.
Julia Brown plays Isla Campbell, a London lawyer who inherits the financially troubled estate after her estranged father dies, leaving it with £1 million of debt. Chris Fulton co-stars as her brother Alasdair, alongside Ewan Miller, Rishi Nair, Phyllis Logan, John Gordon Sinclair and Gordon Kennedy; the reboot will arrive amid renewed television interest in Scottish land ownership, including Paramount+’s forthcoming *Laird*.
