More Than 600 Morgan Wallen Fans Fall Victim to Alleged Ticket Scam

American Songwriter · 15 hours ago

More than 600 Morgan Wallen fans in Michigan say they were defrauded after buying concert tickets and related items through HailGate, only to receive nothing. The allegations have prompted reports to Michigan State Police and highlight the risks of purchasing tickets from unofficial sellers.

One buyer said he paid nearly $300 for tickets to Wallen’s Michigan Stadium show, while another alleged victim spent more than $3,000 on tickets, a backstage pass and a signed guitar. HailGate operator John Klein said a cease-and-desist letter from Wallen’s team prevented further ticket sales and that refunds were delayed by the volume of transactions; some buyers reported receiving refunds, but others said they remained unpaid.

  • Over 600 fans allege HailGate ticket purchases were never fulfilled.
  • Buyers claim losses ranging from hundreds to thousands of dollars.
  • Police reports were filed as the reseller cited delayed refunds.
