## Key points

- Carnifex’s tenth album is their first for Sumerian Records.
- The review calls it their most savage, unrelenting record.
- “More Than Misery” earns 8/10.

## Summary

Carnifex’s tenth album, *More Than Misery*, marks their first release for Sumerian Records and a sharp return to a rawer, more extreme sound. The review argues that the band has stripped away much of the polish of recent work, making this their most savage and relentless record yet.

The ten-track album retains breakdowns and groove-heavy riffs, but leans towards discordant, abrasive deathcore. “The Process Of Pain”, featuring Chaney Crabb of Entheos, is singled out as the catchiest track, while “Licking Love From A Knife” closes with an eight-minute assault; the album receives 8/10.
